General Summary of Position:
Central Receiving and Distribution Services is responsible for the receipt and distribution of all incoming material and equipment and the management of all outgoing freight. All incoming packages must be inspected for obvious physical damage and rejected where appropriate. Area is also responsible for pick-up of mail from the US Post Office, campus distribution of sorted mail provided by the University mailroom and pick-up of interdepartmental mail from various offices throughout the campus.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and oversight of the central receiving area including the supervision of all delivery personnel. The main duties included the receipt and inspection of all incoming packages and management of all outgoing freight. Provide the best customer service to the University community by ensuring proper delivery of materials, answer questions and resolve problems. All packages must be set for delivery and then delivered to the proper people in a timely manner both across campus or routed to locations around the world.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Education: High school graduate/GED (or equivalent)
Experience: at least three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in storekeeping work in a storeroom, stockroom or warehouse, the major duties of which included receiving, storing and issuing supplies and equipment, and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
- Prior supervisory experience
- Valid driver's license required
-Ability to obtain fork lift operation licensing prior to start of employment
-Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
-Microsoft Office, UPS world ship, and other package tracking software
-Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
-5 years receiving, warehouse or equivalent experience preferred
-Ability to work in constantly changing environment
-Ability to work independently
-Utmost in discretion and integrity
