ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE, FULL PROFESSORS IN BIG DATA ANALYTICS APPLICATIONS
The College of Engineering at the University of Missouri is embarking on a large-scale, multi-disciplinary hiring effort for approximately 50 new faculty in the areas of Big Data Analytics, Biomedical Innovations, and Sustainability.
As part of this initiative, the Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions in several Big Data Analytics Application areas at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level starting August 15, 2017. Positions may be joint between the colleges/schools of Engineering, Business, Medicine, Nursing, and Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources depending on the disciplinary background of the applicant. Applicants should have a research expertise in the application of big data analytics to one of the following focus areas: 1) manufacturing / logistics; 2) supply chain / marketing; or 3) healthcare systems. Successful candidates will be expected to become leaders in their field, build an externally funded research program, and successfully mentor graduate students, as well as to develop and teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in these areas.
Applicants should have an earned doctorate in industrial engineering, operations research, or a data analytics related field; strong written and oral communication skills; and have a publication record in nationally recognized journals. Those with relevant postdoctoral experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
Salary commensurate with Education and Experience.
