This position provides support and leadership for campus traditions and service opportunities including, but not limited to, Homecoming, Dance Marathon, the Big Event, Relay for Life, and Jimbo*s True Seminole Tailgate. This position will also help with the coordination of the student organization registration process.
Provide advising and support for major student philanthropic events on campus; including but not limited to The Big Event and Relay for Life. Serve as advisor to Dance Marathon (DM). Assist students in assessing and managing risk. Attend weekly overall committee meetings to provide feedback and insight into event planning, permitting, fundraising and team building. Serve as a liaison between DM and the University. Hire, train and supervise one graduate assistant and graduate interns for DM support.
Coordinates student organization involvement in Homecoming and division wide activities and programs as part of the SAC programming team. Facilitates student organization involvement in university awareness week programs and events.
Support major departmental and divisional programs and initiatives such as Parents* Weekend, and fall and spring major events. Coordinate Jimbo*s True Seminole Tailgate activities and co-sponsorships. Assist with planning and implementation of Leadership Awards Night.,
Assist with the recognition process for over 600 student organizations and serve as a resource to those organizations. Develop, distribute, and compile assessment and evaluation instruments related to recognition process, and other related activities.
ttend student committee, Student Activities Staff, as well as Union Staff meetings to gain understanding of the Student Activities Center and Oglesby Union role within the Division of Student Affairs. Interprets Student Affairs rules and ensures University policies and procedures are followed.
A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience related to the duties of this position; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience related to the duties of this position.
(Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
Prior customer service experience.
Good Leadership and direction skills.
Experience supervising and training employees.
Experience training and advising college students.
Ability to utilize problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of student program planning, development, and evaluation.
Experience with University Special Event planning and working with students.
A Master's in degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Student Development, or a related field; or a bachelor's degree and two years of related work experience
Knowledge of University policies and procedures.

Anticipated Salary Range
Minimum starting salary range $23,660.00-$38,000.00
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
