Job Summary/Basic Function: The Department of Accounting and Finance in the College of Business is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning in Fall 2017. The appointment is for the position of Assistant Professor of Economics to teach graduate and undergraduate economics courses for the BBA and the MBA program. Quality performance will be expected in teaching, service, and research. Preference will be given to candidates who have specialties in applied microeconomics; potential/record of research productivity; and have effective communications skills.

Work Hours: Flexible to suit course schedule. Teaching assignments may include day, night, or weekend classes.

Education

Necessary Qualifications: Earned doctorate degree in Economics or closely related field from a regionally accredited university. ABD will be considered.

Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Economics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience

Preferred Qualifications: College/University teaching experience.
Familiarity with non-traditional commuter University setting.
Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
