Job Summary/Basic Function: The College of Education & Human Development, Department of Educator and Leadership Preparation, seeks candidates for full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning spring/fall, 2017. The appointment is for an Assistant Professor of Reading. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate/graduate level courses in Reading while working collaboratively with faculty to build a comprehensive education program supporting diverse populations. The supervision of field based students and/or student teachers is also possible. Mentorship and advisement of students is essential in addition to the involvement in campus activities and other responsibilities, as deemed necessary. An active service and research agenda with publications and conference presentation is necessary. Quality performance will be expected in teaching, student mentorship, community service, as well as active university committee participation.
Work Hours: Flexible to suit course schedule. Teaching assignments may include day, night, or weekend classes.
