ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE, FULL PROFESSORS IN TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS AND INFRASTRUCTURE
In the College of Engineering, we are embarking on a large-scale, multi-disciplinary hiring effort for approximately 50 new faculty members in the areas of Big Data Analytics, Biomedical Innovations, and Sustainability.
We invite you to apply for a tenured/tenure-track position in one of several areas within Big Data Analytics at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level starting August 15, 2017. Depending on your disciplinary background, you may be offered a joint position with another college/school, in an area such as Public Policy, Statistics, Business, Economics, or Architectural Studies. To be successful, you should have research expertise in:
o predictive traffic analytics
o intelligent transportation systems
o connected and autonomous vehicles
o freight modeling, travel demand modeling
o virtual reality and multi-modal simulators, or
Infrastructure sensing and management:
o next-generation infrastructure and environmental sensing
o civil engineering system informatics and cyber physical systems
o resilient infrastructure systems
o infrastructure health monitoring
Successful candidates will be expected:
• to become leaders in their field
• to build an externally funded research program
• to successfully mentor graduate students
• to develop and teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in these areas.
Applicants should have an earned doctorate in engineering with an emphasis in transportation or infrastructure; strong written and oral communication skills; and have a publication record in nationally recognized journals. Those with relevant postdoctoral experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
