Duties: Design and conduct experiments pertaining to the physiology of nuclear hormone receptors in mouse models. Assist with routine laboratory duties and equipment maintenance. The position requires the daily handling of mice to ascertain weight and obtain blood samples. Careful tracking and record keeping of the mouse colonies. Genotyping of mice. Experimental procedures to determine metabolite levels in blood as well as various protein expression.
Techniques include: Mouse husbandry, Glucose tolerance tests, insulin tolerance tests, Westerns PCR, and various biochemistry assays. Candidate must be self motivated and able to work independently with direction from an immediate supervisor. Position is contingent on grand funding.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or similar field and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
