Posting Summary:
The University of Virginia is currently seeking an Executive Assistant to the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources. The University is currently transforming the way Human Resources (HR) services are delivered to create a high-performing, efficient and integrated human resources service model to advance the University's mission (includes the Academic Division, Health System and University Physicians Group). This position serves a critical role by providing senior level administrative support to the AVP, HR.

The incumbent performs advanced, diversified and confidential administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, competencies, and knowledge of organizational policies and practices. These functions require discretion in handling confidential, sensitive, and timely information. Duties include serving as liaison with University leadership, assisting in relationship building with various constituents and leadership offices, and overseeing the progress of projects, action items, and strategies that emanate from the AVP. The incumbent ensures that appropriate follow up actions are taken and initiates meetings and communications as directed. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for the flow of information to and from the AVP's office via all types of venues (forums, correspondence, speeches, conferences, retreats, etc.)

A Bachelor's degree is required. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree. A minimum of three years' experience in an executive support role is required.
