Posting Summary:
The McIntire Department of Art at the University of Virginia seeks applications to fill a non-tenure track instructional position in Photography during the 2017-2018 academic year. The department is looking to fill six courses in basic to advanced darkroom photography and digital photography over the academic year. This one-year position will teach all levels of photography courses, mentor students, and assist the department with special projects as needed. Previous university experience teaching multiple levels of photography courses is required. Compensation will take the form of full-time salary with full-time benefits. A terminal degree (MFA) is required. Candidates with experience teaching unique photography processes, in particular photogravure, are preferred. Application deadline: May 5, 2017 (midnight, EST).
