What your key responsibilities will be:

The Quality Assurance and Audit Specialist supports all research compliance offices within the Office of Research Integrity (ORI), including the Institutional Review Board (IRB), the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), the Office of Export Controls, and the Conflicts of Interest and Commitment Office by maintaining a proactive quality assurance program. The Specialist develops and maintains positive, collaborative relationships with the research community to facilitate compliance and will coordinate with the IACUC Coordinator with regards to Post-Approval Monitoring of animal research protocols. This position reports to the Director of the Office of Research Integrity.



What we can offer:

The annual salary range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000. Actual salary offered will depend upon relevant background and experience.

Qualifications

What we require:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Two years' experience in auditing or specialized training/certification e.g. CIA, SQA

What you will need:
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to correctly interpret laws, regulations and policies related to research compliance
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

What we'd like you to have:
  • Experience with Federal regulations governing human subject research
  • Experience in supporting research compliance programs in a University setting

Preferred qualifications may be used to further reduce the pool of applicants to those who are most highly qualified.
