Position Details
* This position is a part-time benefits eligible position.

The Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Lay Health Educator to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Conduct work in Nepali language and English.
* Implement education in group and community settings following training and protocols established by the team.
* Make home visits to talk to women about the program.
* Assist women to secure childcare and transportation.
* Assist women to complete all necessary forms.
* Ensure women receive proper follow-up care.
* Assist Manager, Director, and Evaluator in collecting data necessary for evaluation.
* Complete all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with funding requirements.
* Attend relevant community meetings, networking opportunities, etc.
* Communicate using bilingual skills in a refugee language.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Previous experience with documentation and case management a plus.
