Degree and Area of Specialization:

MD, DO or MD/PhD. Board certified in AP, CP or AP/CP and board eligible or certified in Clinical Informatics (ABP).



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Expertise in laboratory informatics at an academic medical center is essential. Candidates for associate professor (CHS) and professor (CHS) rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the CHS track.



License or certificate:

Eligible for unrestricted State of Wisconsin Medical License. Licensure will be required for successful candidate.



Position Summary:

The clinical informatics faculty will develop and optimize processes and workflows at UW Health that interface between laboratory instrumentation and lab information systems (LIS), and between LIS and electronic health records (EHR).
