Degree and Area of Specialization: Bachelor's degree required; biomedical, social science, healthcare or related field preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience: Prior clinical research experience preferred.
Prior experience with Institutional Review Board (IRB) application process preferred.
Prefix assignment will be determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years of experience is required for appointment at the senior level.
Position Summary: The Regulatory Specialist will join the UW Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) Central Regulatory Office, a division of the Clinical Research Central Office (CRCO) that provides regulatory support services to Investigators and Clinical Research Disease Oriented Teams conducting cancer-related research. Under direction of a Regulatory Team Supervisor, the incumbent will support clinical and translational oncology research studies funded by institutional, national, federal, and private sponsors. A working knowledge of research clinical principles and study guidelines is required to assist research teams and Investigators accomplish their research goals. The incumbent will work independently and as a part of a group on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing projects based upon deadlines and interdisciplinary collaboration. The incumbent must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
