The College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management at the University of South Carolina is seeking an accomplished, collaborative, and innovative leader to serve as the Associate Dean of Faculty and Operations. This is a tenure track position at the Associate/Professor level. This position includes a two-month extension to the base 9-month faculty appointment, which establishes an 11-month appointment as Associate Dean. Areas of expertise sought after include, but are not limited to: faculty affairs, operations, human resources, research and innovation, and diversity and inclusion. This position will provide leadership to the College and will be assigned to one of the three program areas based on the candidate's background and interest: the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management, Department of Retailing, or Department of Sport and Entertainment Management.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership for faculty productivity, performance, and success; plan, implement, and evaluate the College's strategies and visions for faculty excellence; oversee performance and productivity of research centers; maintain general operational responsibilities; assist with faculty diversity and inclusion issues; work closely with human resources; and teach one course each semester.

Earned Ph.D. degree, demonstrated success in research and teaching at the university level, and relevant leadership experience.
Strong record of excellent research, teaching, external funding, and national/international reputation.
