Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Child Health - Thompson Center
The MU Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders is seeking board certified applicants for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor to serve as the Director of Medical Services. We are looking for a candidate who seeks an academic career with balance in: leadership, patient care, teaching, and possibly clinical research.
The faculty member will work full-time in the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, which serves children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental conditions, and their families. Clinical responsibilities may include new patient evaluations, follow-up care, and participating in multi-disciplinary clinics. Leadership responsibilities include working closely with other divisions and disciplines, managing daily needs, and building the clinical and teaching programs within the medical services division. The Thompson Center consists of many sub-specialties including occupational and speech therapy, health psychology, neurology, genetics, behavior analysts, psychiatry, and pediatrics. This position does not have any inpatient call responsibilities.
Qualified candidates need to have a MD/DO degree and will be trained in one of the following: general pediatrics, child psychiatry, pediatric neurology, genetics, developmental/behavioral pediatrics or neuro-developmental disabilities, with experience in Autism.
Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
