The International Affairs Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Administrative Support Staff/Receptionist to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Coordinating general daily operations of the office to maintain an efficient and effective working environment. * Maintaining comprehensive front desk coverage to ensure that all office visitors and callers receive a prompt, accurate, and welcoming response and managing campus mail for the main office.* Providing support to the Vice Provost for scheduling, purchasing, travel vouchers, routine correspondence, and general administrative tasks.* Assisting the UNT-I main office team with deadlines, reports, and required documentation. * Maintaining and scheduling the UNT-I conference room and assisting main office staff with outside room scheduling and event support as needed.* Coordinating the purchase, maintenance and storage of all general supplies and technology tools for main office staff. The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent and two years of general office or clerical experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Skill in telephone etiquette and courteous communication with public, verbally and in writing.* Skill in evaluating facts or situation to route calls/customers appropriately.* Basic MS Office skills.* Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including, personal computers, telephones and copiers.* Skill in filing and recordkeeping.* Skill in English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.* Skill in basic math.* Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.
