Repair Implementation/Repair Development Engineer
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Leading a multi-discipline IPT to establish repair design requirements and resolve related technical challenges.
•Researching operating environments and understanding functionality of components, their interaction with mating parts, and developing strategies which will return damaged parts to service.
•Creating or reviewing technical documents that provide engineering requirements for repairs, including a sequence of operations.
•Providing onsite audits of US based and International Military Repair suppliers and Overhaul Depots.
•Participating in the prototyping of new repairs.
•Witnessing and reporting on the execution of new repairs and compliance to requirements.
•Supporting Military customers in the resolution of field supportability issues.
•Supporting engine teardown and hardware inspection evaluations as needed
•Ensuring repair tasks are completed to schedule and on budget.
This position will support one or more Military programs for the Repair Implementation Team. The Repair Implementation Team ,has a particularly high level of customer and supplier interaction and is an excellent opportunity for those seeking experience with the practical applications of both repairs and tooling.
Qualifications: Requires 1-2 years' experience in either manufacturing, mechanical design, or repair development. Experience in the use of UG or similar CAD application and Teamcenter is preferable. Exposure to cost & schedule management (EVMS), project engineering experience, or team leadership a plus. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with manufacturing processes such as plating, plasma spray, welding & brazing is desirable.
