The Help Desk Technician 2 executes the implementation, maintenance and support of Microsoft
Windows desktop and server operating systems. This role also performs computer
networking tasks including the configuration and deployment of routers, wireless access points, and managed switches.
The successful candidate will take pride in a professional appearance and must exhibit a clear, friendly
phone manner. He or she must be able to communicate with clients, understanding their pain points and
translating them into solutions, or initiating conversations with Tech 3 staff to resolve issues
more complicated in scope.
The Tech 2 must be able to keep track of work performed, take good notes/keep good records and
accurately log time in the ticketing system (Autotask).
• Experience with VMWare products and Hyper-V
• Experience with Mac OSX and Linux
• Experience with pfSense, SonicWall Routers and Cisco ASA devices
• MCSA or CCNA
3-years related work experience and an associate's degree in information systems or related field
preferred. Candidates with equivalent real-world experience and self-educated, passionate hobbyists
may be considered.
