Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing in-person customer service in the Student Business Services lobby, assisting with questions related to tuition assessment, student accounts, departmental issues, payment plans, refund statuses, producing payment certifications, assisting with debt management and University financial policies.
This position is responsible for responding to, monitoring, and distributing customer service emails. Runs daily reports of email usage and distributes information to management for issue tracking. Creates pre-programmed messaging for use by staff throughout the office, including rapid response options.
Assists with the review of late payment and late registration fee waivers. Makes determinations as to the approval or denial of waivers and provides Customer Service Lead with completed documentation for entry onto student accounts. Ensures that notes and markers are used as needed to justify waivers.
Represents the office at events related to the Dean of Students and New Student and Family Programs including but not limited to Orientation, Preview, Market Wednesdays, etc. Monitors and maintains the office social media accounts.
Answers phone calls and serves as backup to the Communications Room Customer Service Lead by assisting OPS students, checking and returning voicemails, and monitoring phone performance for monthly reporting.
Develop and produce resources to increase student awareness on financial literacy.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent of two years' experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.
Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
Experience demonstrating effective customer service skills.
Experience interpreting and applying related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
Experience utilizing problem solving skills.
Experience with applicable computer application and basic computer functions.

Pay Plan

This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
