The Department of Kinesiology and Community Health at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a full-time, 12-month position as a Research Study Coordinator. Primary responsibilities will include coordination of federally- and privately-funded clinical trials that aim to examine the effects of exercise and adjuvant training on cognitive and cardiovascular health. Specific responsibilities will include the following: recruiting, screening, and scheduling participants for data collection, administering the day-to-day delivery of study interventions, conduct data collection and review, database entry and database management; communicating with the investigators and staff, and off-site facility administrators; working closely with participants and their families, graduate student research assistants, undergraduates, and other staff members to ensure study protocol is followed, and other related duties as assigned. The preferred start date for this position is April 1 st 2017 (negotiable) and applicants will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled.



Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree with at least one college course in research methods or experience with research or supporting research. A Master's degree with an academic background in Exercise Science/Kinesiology, Public Health, or related field is preferred, but other backgrounds will be considered (e.g., Psychology).

Skills Desired: Experience working with diverse groups of people. Experience working on team-based projects. Experience with database management are required. Research experience with human subjects. Highly organized; detail-oriented; dependable; familiar with Microsoft Office software; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal, time management, and solution focused skills are preferred.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
