Duties: Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Campaign and DAR Services, provide support to all aspects of Penn's comprehensive campaign, with specific focus on the critical aspects of campaign volunteer management, communications, central priorities and goals, and campaign management. Serve as a central resource and as a connector to the many areas, units and staff involved in campaign planning and execution and provide leadership and support through this ongoing and dynamic process. Provide regular reports and briefing materials, campaign documents, memos/correspondence, and metrics reports to senior leadership, advancement colleagues, volunteers and others. Work in partnership with the AVP Campaign and the School and Center Program to support the exchange of information between the campaign office and the School and Center program. Oversee the management of the campaign communication external support to schools, centers and central units. Supervise the Director of Campaign Volunteers and as a team, develop and execute all aspects of an overall plan for volunteer involvement for the university. Support the Campaign Development Committee of the Trustees including meetings, communication and annual engagement plans. Manage the Campaign Steering Committee meeting(s). Work collaboratively with units (schools, centers, central areas) to support engagement and ambassadorship role of the Steering Committee members. Lead the development of a university wide campaign volunteer stewardship plan, recognition and communication plan and work with units across the university to execute. Create and support highest level campaign messaging supporting staff and volunteer spokespersons. Supervise a (new) project coordinator position that provides support to campaign communication and planning and volunteer activity. Develop and support internal campaign communications. Work with central areas, to support strategies for reporting and communicating goals, progress and articulating impact for central areas development and engagement priorities. Communicate key performance indicators and results to direct reports. Establish priorities and goals, manage staffing needs and identifying areas for organizational development updates or changes. Set clear performance expectations and hold staff accountability for outcomes.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required and Master's Degree preferred; 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in Development preferably with a portion of that experience in a complex higher education environment. Experience should include frontline major gifts work, staff and volunteer management, direct support to highest levels (governance) of volunteer boards and committees. Strong communications skills, both oral and written. Demonstrated ability working collaboratively across departments, units or areas within an organization. Ability and demonstrated success in establishing objectives, setting performance standards, and inspiring and motivating staff to achieve optimum results. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Some travel and valid driver's license required.
