This position requires specialized knowledge in both in vivo and ex vivo tissue recombination experiments including cell specific organoid experiments. This entails the use of fluorescent activated cell sorting (FACS) to identify new cell surface markers for both mouse and human lung cell lineages and optimize these techniques to characterize the function of these lineages in repair and regeneration of the lung. The appropriate applicant will have extensive experience in transcriptome and epigenetic analysis using RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq and other methods.

The investigator would also have a supervisory and training role for existing and newly hired laboratory staff as well as hands-on lab based work involving primary lung tissue preparation, cell culture and downstream molecular biology assays and protocols.
