Posting Summary:
The Department of Pediatrics is seeking candidates for the position of Intermediate Administrative Assistant, working primarily with the Department Administrator to facilitate department initiatives. This position performs advanced, diversified and confidential secretarial and administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, competencies, and knowledge of organizational policies and practices. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is essential, as is the ability to work with a proactive team of administrative support professionals, maintaining consistent excellence during busy workdays. The incumbent must exercise discretion in handling confidential, sensitive and timely information.

This position is responsible for coordination of administrative needs, such as coordinating: faculty and staff moves, onboarding, engagement activities, staff meetings, and annual events. It is essential that the incumbent have the ability to manage multiple projects.

Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree is preferred and may substitute for two years of experience. Demonstrated efficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Administrative support experience in an academic physician office and/or hospital setting is preferred as well as experience preparing and editing presentations and correspondence.

3. Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
4. Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily work to ensure accurate and timely completion.
