Position Summary: The MSU Hub for Innovation in Teaching and Learning is seeking exceptional talent to work with Hub project teams as an academic specialist with a focus on teaching professional development. This position works with faculty and other University clients, as well as team members (designers, developers, student colleagues) to consult, develop, and produce learning and teaching innovations to advance Michigan State University by realizing a more active, engaged, successful, and valuable student experience.
To be successful in this position, you should enjoy learning new skills, working in a dynamic context, and have a passion for solving complex problems. The ideal candidate will be capable of working across a number of skill sets. We seek someone with teacher and faculty development experience, who is capable of professional development curricular design in collaboration with faculty, students, and staff from any field. We also value quantitative and qualitative research experience, as our work is inquiry driven. We are interested as well in expertise in working on learning in scientific or medical contexts.
Faculty: Minimum Qualifications Support Staff: Minimum Requirements A master's degree in education, curriculum, educational technology, educational psychology, instructional design, communication, or related field; a background in teaching and/or professional development; knowledge of current curricular models, instructional design frameworks, and assessment methods; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an educational setting, excellent communication skills; knowledge of current and emerging instructional technologies and assessment or evaluation methods; ability to work well in a team environment.
Typing Requirements (wpm):
Desired Qualifications: PhD in higher education administration, educational psychology, educational technology, instructional design or a related field.
