STUDENT AFFAIRS SPECIALIST II
Job Summary The mission of the Tate Student Center is to enhance the educational experience for all students and to help build a sense of campus community through a wide variety of programs and services for individuals and for student groups. The Tate Student Center consists of the following offices: Center for Leadership and Service, Office of Student Activities and Organizations (Pandora Yearbook, WUOG, 90.5 FM -student radio station, National Student Exchange, University Union Programming Board, and over 600 registered student organizations), Marketing and Public Relations, the Dean of Students' Business Office (IT & UGA Card Office), Facilities & Campus Reservations, Events & Technical Services. The department directly operates four facilities: Tate Student Center, Memorial Hall, Legion Pool, and Legion Field. This position is responsible for coordinating events and assisting in the set up and break-down of all events taking place in Tate Center facilities. Considerable evening work and weekends will be involved. This position reports to the Senior Coordinator for Event Services and is part of the larger Campus Reservations, Events & Technical Services (CRETS) staff. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years of administrative and appropriate program experience; OR Master's Degree in field appropriate to area; OR six years of progressively responsible administrative and appropriate program experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
