About The Unit: Neurobiology is a basic science department whose faculty work on neuroscience research problems concerning the brain and spinal cord.

Unit Job Summary: A Staff Scientist position is available for a highly motivated individual to join a laboratory mapping the brain at multiple scales using synchrotron source x-ray and automated serial electron microscopy. Applicants are required to process a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in neuroscience, in addition to a minimum of 3 years of training as a postdoctoral fellow in the area of neuroscience. Previous experience in both x-ray and electron imaging of brains and experience in writing manuscripts and research grant proposals is preferred. Experience working with mice is also required. 80% of this position will be performing research and 20% will be writing manuscripts and helping write research grant proposals.

Unit Education: Doctoral degree required.

Unit Experience: Completion of postdoctoral training program (normally 3-5 years) required. Supervisory experience preferred.
