HR Business Partner
The HR Partner acts as the primary point of contact for University supervisors and other leaders to serve as a consultant to guide decisions and HR practices. The Partner is responsible for building relationships with faculty and staff at all levels in order to understand the unique business needs of each customer and provide innovative solutions to meet both the customer and University's goals.
This position will be required to provide excellent customer service to ensure effective, accurate, and timely support and communication related to employment, benefits and compensation. The HR Partner is responsible for general workplace compliance, front-line communication, administration and operations within Human Resources.
The HR Partner will be responsible for related duties but not limited to facilitating the job requisition and posting process, screening and approving candidate selections, utilizing an electronic applicant tracking system and including the training of new managers on this system. This position will work with hiring managers in the development and maintenance of up to date and accurate job descriptions and coordinate on classification and compensation functions.
The HR Partner will provide coaching and counseling on managing employee performance as well as providing appropriate recommendations for employee relations issues including investigations, disciplinary actions, terminations.
This position may be required to share HR support for the Kennesaw State University, Marietta Campus. This would require travel to this site on occasion and/or as part of a rotation.
Minimum pay for this position is $47,476.00 per year.
Performing the duties of this position requires:
Comprehensive HR experience in related human resource functions (benefits, recruitment, on boarding, compensation, employee relations, policy development and performance appraisal) as well as knowledge of employment laws and regulations, HR policies.
Excellent analytical and innovative aptitude, problem-solving skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with leadership, management, faculty and staff through a consultative, collaborative and active-problem solving approach positioning HR as a credible resource for various constituencies.
Client focused sense of urgency and responsiveness.
Strong judgment skills to differentiate matters that need to be coordinated with other management staff on campus.
Significant independent decision-making and sensitivity to protocol and procedures.
High degree of personal integrity and ethics with high standards. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
Candidate must be able to work independently and within a team environment.

Minimum qualifications: Undergraduate degree and 5 years of related experience in Human Resources OR High School diploma and 7 years HR experience
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree, preferred. Experience in Higher Education a plus.
