Occupational Summary

Perform a variety of complex technical duties involved in conducting laboratory tests,
experiments and determinations in support of Duke University research
operations.

Work performed

Manage colony of transgenic and knockout mice, including: animal handling, tissue
procurement, DNA preparation, PCR genotyping, maintaining records and strategic planning
in conjunction with the PI and other laboratory personnel.

Manage laboratory activities, including: ordering reagents, preparing stock solutions,
maintaining laboratory equipment and overseeing laboratory safety.

Experimental work in support of ongoing laboratory research in molecular immunology.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field. Experience working with mice is desirable but
not required.
