Occupational Summary:
The Duke Pediatric Research Scholars Program (DPRS) and the Center of Early Life Influences on Health and Disease (ELIHD) within the Department of Pediatrics, both under the direction of Dr. Sallie Permar, are new initiatives developed to provide leadership in pediatric research training and the discovery of new strategies to prevent diseases through pediatric interventions. We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated individual to lead our Program Management team. The training program for pediatric residents and fellows and the ELIHD Research Center are housed within Department of Pediatrics, in which a a team of highly interactive investigators have expertise in pediatric research, research training, immunology, molecular biology, microbiology, preclinical animal models, and clinical trials.

Work Performed:
This position will be responsible for working with the Program/Center Director or her designee on curriculum development and coordination of the pediatric clinician scientist training program, including oversight of the application and selection process, seminar series, mentor identification, and coordination of faculty involvement. Assist with the Center of Early Life Influences on Health and Disease (ELIHD) coordination, evaluation, and scientific management of research project milestones and grant activities with a specific emphasis on coordinating evaluation of clinical samples between multiple investigators. This position will work with the Office of Education, Vice Chair of Education, and Residency Directors to plan the curriculum for the Research Scholars. Assist with study implementation, planning, execution and monitoring in coordination with scientific leadership, laboratory and financial staff and subcontractors. This position will also serve as a resource/liaison for investigators between the Pediatrics Grant Hub and the Children's Clinical Research Unit.

Education
