Residential Leasing Agent

Job Description:

A leasing consultant is the primary ambassador between the public, the residents of the apartment community and community management. This individual is responsible for providing exceptional service to community residents, future residents and internal team members. They must provide the community with value and quality by assessing the needs of their client.

Responsibilities:
  • Process and Review applications for new rental
  • Follow orders from Property Manager and staff...Service with a smile!
  • Process requests by tenants and maintenance staff
  • Conduct tours of available apartments
  • Prepare lease paperwork for Move -Ins
  • Assist in coordinating resident activities
  • Review existing leases

Qualifications:
  • Must live near or be willing to commute to Modesto, Calif.
  • At least 1 year experience working in a residential leasing office
  • Must be capable of following a strict Business Professional dress code
  • Must have a professional attitude!
  • Experience with Property Management Software such as; AMSI, YARDI, Rent Roll, Boston Post, Etc.!
  • Experience with Rent Control Properties (Section 8, HUD, Tax Credit, etc) is a PLUS!
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; Highly detail-oriented!
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills!
  • Proficient on Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong customer service focus for both internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws, completion of the CA. Fair Housing Act course with certificate of completion is required and can be obtained through our agency for free.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

Certified Occupancy Specialist

Job Description:

Certified Occupancy Specialist must maintain a current certificate or have a solid, proven background in this specialty field. The specialist will support the leasing and management staff in the performance of their duties and assist all residents with general inquires, whether in person or by telephone. Maintains file records and logs of housing activities. Issue certificates and vouchers from eligible "pool" of applicants and must have Section 8, HUD and Tax Credit. Compliance knowledge and proficiency is required.
