Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Toulouse Graduate School and Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of North Texas invite applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in Data Science. Candidates must have an MS in Data Science or related quantitative/ technical field (e.g. Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics) and have experience teaching at the university level. In particular, candidates must be effective teachers with experience teaching information technology courses such as, machine learning, data engineering, applications of Python, R, SQL, Hadoop, MapReduce. Candidates are expected to teach online as well as traditional classes. Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. in Data Science or related field, and to those with experience applying data science methods (data base query and data mining) in business, government or science settings.
Candidates are expected to teach a course load of 4-4 with the potential for a course load reduction for program advising or course development. Actual course loads are assigned based on program needs. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
