We are looking for a highly motivated person to work in the Department of Neurobiology at Duke University.
  • The laboratory (www.thefrankslab.org) uses electro physiological recordings, behavioral analyses and optogenetic tools to study sensory neuroscience with a focus on the rodent olfactory system.
  • This position is ideal for recent graduates wishing to gain practical training in a state-of-the art research environment investigating neural circuits of the brain.
  • The candidate must be flexible and willing to function in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • The full-time Research Technician II position will involve managing a small transgenic mouse colony, stereotactic surgery, histology and immunohisto chemistry, and some minor lab administrative work.
  • An undergraduate degree in biology, neurosciences, chemistry, physics, or other related scientific disciplines are highly preferred.
