Job Summary/Basic Function:
The University of North Texas invites applications for a Lecturer to coordinate the BAAS program for a new academic unit designed to support post traditional students. The new unit will offer degree programs specifically designed to support degree completion and to align with community college technical programs. Appointed duties for summer to be negotiated.
This faculty member must be an innovative and collaborative leader with the capacity to cultivate strong institutional and community relationships and foster student success. This position will be responsible for maintaining significant interface with community college partners, especially their workforce program leads, as well as facilitating partnerships with early college high schools focused on technical credentials. The position will also cultivate partnerships within UNT to develop concentrations and specializations from across the institution that may be incorporated within the BAAS degree.
This position will facilitate program offerings across multiple locations and the delivery of courses in face-to-face, online, and blended formats.
The Bachelors of Applied Arts and Sciences degree, which will be housed within this academic unit, has been a strong part of UNT degree offerings since the 1970's and has become increasingly important as state priorities focus on encouraging post-secondary credentials, including those in technical fields.

*An earned PhD or other terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
*Administrative experience within an academic unit in a post-secondary setting
*A minimum of 5 years of successful teaching at the college level
*A minimum of 18 graduate hours in business, technology, sociology, psychology, social work, public administration or related field
*Experience teaching in online and blended formats
*Experience working with post-traditional students
