The University of St. Thomas invites applications for adjunct faculty within the Graduate Programs in Software department. Adjunct faculty are being sought to teach Information Technology Security and Networking course at the graduate level beginning fall 2017. This course will provide the foundation of information technology security, including authentication, authorization, access management, physical security, network security (firewalls, intrusion detection), application security (software and database), security regulations, and disaster recovery. The course explores social engineering and other human factors and the impact to security. There will be an emphasis on local area networking (LAN) and Internet architecture and protocols, including TCP/IP and the OSI layers. The course discussed protocol details, the way they relate and interact with each other, and how they are applied in real systems.

Minimum qualifications for these positions include a Master's degree in computer science or a related field and previous teaching and/or industry experience. CISSP certification will be preferred.
