Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Office of Real Estate & Development (RED) serves as the real estate development and services group for North Carolina State University. RED oversees the acquisition, leasing, management and disposition of real estate assets for the University and its endowment and affiliated foundations. RED also oversees the planning and development of Centennial Campus and the Centennial Biomedical Campus through a variety of public-private partnership models.

Essential Job Duties: The Real Estate Events Manager plans, coordinates, and facilitates special events for NC State University's Centennial Campus, including themes, concepts, programs and objectives to advance and promote University's real estate programming objectives. Responsibilities will include: * Plan and implement policies and capital improvements on Centennial Campus to foster placemaking and site activation. * Coordinate work activities of employees and volunteers at events. * Serve as a liaison between university, event producers, citizens, university departments, and tenants for outdoor events on Centennial Campus. * Establish activation strategies on Centennial Campus * Maintain comprehensive calendar of all special events on Centennial Campus and develop publications for distribution to targeted audiences. * With coordination of other departments, develop and maintain financial budget, event registration packets, fee structures, policies and procedures. * Provide leadership, professional expertise, and direction in the planning and execution of high quality events and functions. * Obtain and/or track all applicable permits and ensure they are completed and on file prior to events. * Serve as on-call or on-scene contact for Centennial events for questions or issues. * Develop marketing materials and manage advertisements. * Use discretion to make final judgement calls on behalf of university and coordinates changes with affected departments. * Work to collect data on events to include attendance and overall impacts to the surrounding area. Interprets data collected, evaluates the effectiveness, and makes recommendations on changes for future events. * Analyze costs/benefits and market trends as basis for program recommendations. * Build and foster relationship with event planners and tenants by creating, coordinating and executing university community events. * Research for new events including identifying competition, best timing and market opportunities.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Department Required Skills: * Excellent organizational and project management skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, with flexibility in meeting shifting demands. * Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to coordinate the work of others. * Strong professional knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems. * Will be required to work weekends for events as necessary. ** This position requires the ability to move supplies to accomplish core responsibilities.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: * 3 or more years of relevant experience and hands-on involvement with large event production from beginning to end * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * BA/BS degree * Considerable knowledge of event planning, logistics, production, and management. * Ability to perform cost-benefit analysis for events and programming. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with citizens, tenants, event producers, university departments, and general public.
