Duties: Our lab is a basic science biology lab and studies hematopoiesis (blood cell development) and leukemia in humans and mice. We use a variety of techniques using cell lines, mouse models, human leukemia cells, RNA and ChIP-sequencing, and CRISPR-based studies to dissect the mechanisms by which specific gene mutations produce leukemia. We are looking for a full-time junior technician for our lab starting July 1st 2017 - someone graduating from college this year, academically outstanding, interested in going to medical school or to biology/biomed graduate school in the future.

Molecular cloning, isolation and analysis of RNA and DNA, electrophoresis and western blotting, miscellaneous molecular biology techniques; mouse breeding, blood collection, dissection, analysis of tissues, ordering; lab organization; planning day-to-day experiments.

Qualifications: BA or BS and 0 to 1 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Applicant must have at least brief experience working in a Molecular Biology lab in the past. Experience with mouse research would be a plus, but is not required
