Position Summary: The Operations Applications Manager is responsible for coordinating the maintenance and enhancement of MSU Health. Specific areas of responsibility include the training function, content development, and reporting. Ensures the application is providing the optimal benefit to the respective clinics, and is well integrated into clinic workflows. Consults with the Chief Medical Information Officer and acts as the primary liaison with MSU IT, to ensure that the technical and infrastructure needs of the MSU Health clinical applications are met. Participates and coordinates strategic planning and budgetary planning with provider and practice representatives.
Faculty: Minimum Qualifications Support Staff: Minimum Requirements Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Business Administration, Accounting, Management or Healthcare; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in financial or accounting practices, developing research projects, funding and grant practices and/or experience in clinical operations, specifically utilizing an Electronic Medical Record system; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Typing Requirements (wpm):
Desired Qualifications: Experience working in an outpatient physician practice or ambulatory setting with direct responsibility for patient care activities in a leadership capacity; experience working with health information technology, as an application analyst or other similar role; minimum of five years' experience in a leadership role; experience working with physicians, and allied health professionals; understanding of the healthcare industry; strong problem solving skills, ability to manage project tasks and timelines, and analytical ability; ability to set goals and assess results in accordance with the highest standards; to work cooperatively with others; to perform consistently under the pressure of deadlines and other administrative demands; able to adapt easily to change and engage with others in a team environment.
