Job Summary: This position works under the general supervision of the Buildings/Grounds Supervisor and requires closely working cooperation with the Biotron Operator. The person in this position is responsible for design, upgrade, operation, maintenance and repair of all complex Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment and refrigeration equipment and research-related mechanical equipment. The person in this position will have responsibility of all aspects of the Biotron HVAC systems including using Johnson Control Metasys software program. The person in this position will work closely with the maintenance team.



Requirements: Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.



Schedule Comment: Flexible schedule Monday - Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

This position participates in the Biotron pager rotation which includes carrying the pager approximately one weekend out of six and performing a two-hour walk through each of the two weekend days, and carrying the pager approximately one weeknight each week. This schedule may vary slightly depending on staffing levels and leave.
