Marian University invites applications for the full-time position of Graduate Nursing Program Director. Eligible for the rank of Associate or Full Professor, the Program Director will provide leadership for Marian University's graduate nursing program. Reporting to the Nursing Program Chair and Dean of the College of the Professions and working closely with department faculty and professional staff, the Director will grow enrollments, build partnerships, and ensure the delivery of high quality academic programs.

Other requirements included:

  • A doctoral degree in nursing.
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner; must maintain current certification as set forth in the guidelines set forth by the respective certifying body.
  • Licensed in the State of Wisconsin as a nurse practitioner.
  • At least two years of experience in direct patient care.
  • Has been employed in nursing within the last 5 years.

    The position requires a record of teaching, service, and scholarship consistent the Marian University standards for the associate or full professor rank and tenure upon hiring.

    The successful candidate should have experience in leading nursing programs, supervising faculty, program and budget development, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with online education is preferred.  The candidate should demonstrate competence in accreditation standards, compliance reporting, program assessment, curriculum planning and evaluation, student success and retention initiatives, as well as foster online, hybrid and face-to-face delivery modes, embrace a collaborative approach to decision making and problem solving, and support the Mission and Core Values of Marian.
