This position is responsible for the overall reconciliation, analysis, and control of the accrual basis general ledger and the recordation of the subsidiaries financial information on the accounting system. Maintains the accounting systems necessary to prepare the GAAP financial statements, Operational Reports, Budget Reports, General Excise Tax returns and other reporting requirements. Manages the fixed asset system. Performs cross-functional activities with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll to ensure subsidiary ledgers are updating into the general ledger timely and accurately. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Prepares and analyzes all journal entries and general ledger reconciliation and adjustments. Responsible for the monthly general ledger closings and for the year-end closing procedures. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the organization's accrual basis general ledgers and systems necessary for reporting requirements set forth by management or regulatory bodies. Reporting requirements include, but are not limited to, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) financial statements, Operational Reports, General Excise Tax returns.
Manages the fixed asset system to ensure all equipment is properly accounted for and inventoried. Controls, reviews, and approves all transactions interfacing into the general ledger. Performs cross-functional activities with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll to ensure subsidiary ledgers are updating into the general ledger timely and accurately.
Ensures the closing and integrity of the revenue cycle management systems for the retail stores, long-term care and IV/Specialty and Nutrition. Reconciles the three accounts receivable and inventory accounts and records all journal entries and adjustments in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
Provides accounting support to the operating units and billing teams by providing management, payroll, account receivable aging, denials, DSO reporting and other ad hoc reports as requested.
Responds promptly and accurately to all inquiries. Ensures the day-to-day operations of the department are running properly. Performs other related duties as assigned.
