Essential functions of this position:
The primary purpose of this position is to process and post student accounts receivable payments and departmental receipts. The position will reconcile daily receipts to Banner cash receipting reports. Responsibilities also include verifying all transaction documentation, preparing the daily bank deposit, maintenance of university bank accounts, and certification of State Treasurer wires and transfers. The position will provide support to the Cashier Supervisor in the processing of e-commerce transactions.
The position will provide excellent service to students, parents, alumni, and the university community via phone, email, and face-to-face communications.
N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:
The ability to multi-task in a high volume/fast paced environment
The ability to research and resolve student account inquiries in a timely manner
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred education, professional skills and experience:
Three years of banking and/or cash handling experience
Two years of customer service experience
Strong data entry and calculator skills
