The Department of Geology and Environmental Earth Science at Miami University invites applications for a temporary, full-time faculty position on the Oxford campus, beginning August 2017. This is a nine-month (two academic semester) appointment that may be renewed pending funding availability and satisfactory performance. The primary responsibility of this position is teaching foundation courses in physical and environmental geology and an intermediate level course Water & Society; possible opportunity to teach upper level courses such as Ground Water Flow Modeling and Contaminant Transport dependent on student demand and department needs. An M.S. in geology or a related field is required for appointment as Instructor; a Ph.D. is preferred and is required for appointment as a Visiting Assistant Professor.

Miami University will not sponsor for H1B work authorization for the 2017-18 year.
