Primary Function of Organizational Unit   The B.S. in Athletic Training is one of four undergraduate degrees offered within the School of Health and Human Performance; the other degrees offered are; Exercise Science, Community Health, and Outdoor Education. At the masters level, the School offers a MS in Health & Human Performance with concentrations in Health Promotion or Human Performance. SHHP is requesting to move from a B.S. in Athletic Training to an M.S. with a major in Athletic Training (entry level certification) in keeping with recommendations from professional associations in the field. With the high demand for this undergraduate major; it is expected that SHHP would maintain a robust, high quality program at the master’s level. The Athletic Training program is CAATE accredited.

This position will teach undergraduate courses in athletic training and some core movement sciences (anatomy, kinesiology, prevention and care). Assist Athletic Training Program Coordinator and Clinical Coordinator with all aspects of athletic training curriculum development and implementation. Assist in maintaining CAATE standards.
