The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, is seeking a full-time academic pulmonologist for its Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Disorders Medicine in the Department of Medicine. This is a non-tenure track appointment and will be made at a rank (Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) commensurate with experience.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include participating in a busy sleep medicine outpatient service and interpreting polysomnograms and ambulatory sleep testing results in our state-of-the-art AASM accredited 8-bed Sleep Center. Additional responsibilities may include rounding in the Pulmonary in-patient service, out-patient consultative pulmonary medicine, and caring for patients in the Intensive Care Unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: Applicants must be Board certified/eligible in Pulmonary Diseases and in Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, and be licensed in the District of Columbia, at the time of appointment. Applicants must have a record of providing excellent clinical care services, research productivity, and clinical teaching as demonstrated by experience, publications, evaluations and/or references. Candidates must also have experience in invasive/non-invasive ventilation and advanced CPAP modalities.
