Pay Rate: $3,000 per course per semester.

Job Summary/Basic Function: Part-time faculty on the SAN ANTONIO campus. The successful candidate will teach lower-division undergraduate courses in U.S. History and Texas History, based on academic qualifications. Applicants will be contacted according to departmental needs. Teaching assignments are all in face-to-face format and may include day or night classes.

Work Hours: Varies with course schedule

Special Instructions to Applicants: Texas A&M University-San Antonio (A&M-SA) is part of the Texas A&M University System. A&M-SA is a new campus in the established A&M system, serving students (undergraduate and graduate) from a culturally diverse and largely non-traditional population. The current enrollment is approximately 5,500.

Education

Necessary Qualifications: Master's Degree in History, from a regionally accredited institution.

A minimum of 18 graduate hours in History or similar field.

Preferred Qualifications: College or University teaching experience preferred. Experience with teaching lower-division U.S. or Texas History survey classes preferred. Experience with hands-on teaching techniques preferred. Experience in culturally diverse settings preferred.
