Duties: This position oversees administrative aspects of the project, which include managing travel and logistics for convenings, processing invoices and reimbursements, supervising graduate assistants and other staff working on the project, writing reports and memos, securing copyright clearances for the virtual community of practice, negotiating access to large-scale datasets, assisting with data analysis, and building contact databases for the dissemination of RISE publications. Occasionally represent RISE at meetings and conferences across the country, occasionally write and edit briefs pertaining to the project, and occasionally respond to inquiries from foundation executives, partner organizations and advisory board members, and scholars in the RISE network. Serve as a liaison between the Center for the Study of Race and Equity in Education and Equal Measure.

This is a term position with an end date of 5/30/2018.

Qualifications: Master's degree or more and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience strongly preferred. HS diploma and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Relevant work experience includes work with boys and men of color, work in a university context, and/or project management.

Demonstrated success or strong indication of potential for success in managing high volume, complex projects in an efficient and customer-oriented manner; initiative; organizational skills; team player.

Preferred: Familiarity with research, policies, and practices concerning boys and men of color in education, health, criminal justice, and/or workforce development. Previous work with organizations that primarily serve Asian American and Pacific Islander, Black, Latino, and/or Native American populations.
