Basic Functions: Assist Denison University's Digital Strategy & Development office in producing digital initiatives, collecting and coordinating the creative work of the Digital Strategy Office, and utilizing a suite of online tools and services. Translate business and communication goals into optimal digital solutions and presentations, working directly with campus constituents. Curate information architecture and digital content, and publish across the college's various public platforms.
Essential Job Functions: Build constituent-focused digital communications and fulfill campus client requirements, utilizing a variety of platforms, tools, and apps. Meet with, advise, and educate campus constituents on optimal digital communications solutions and best practices, while also identifying opportunities and gaps in digital communications and information architectures. Publish content to public digital platforms through the use of content management systems and third-party service platforms, adhering to Digital Strategy & Development best practices as well as WCAG 2.0 web accessibility guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: An Associate degree or higher. One year of professional website content publishing and management experience or equivalent experience through personal or other projects. One year of professional digital communications experience, pushing content to audiences through channels such as websites, mobile applications, social media marketing, and e-mail marketing services, or equivalent experience. One year or professional customer service experience or equivalent. One year experience with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Docs. One year experience with photo-editing software such as Adobe Photoshop.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, with curricular or equivalent exposure to topics in digital media and/or marketing and communications. Experience with web content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal. Experience with HTML/CSS and other scripting languages. Experience with WCAG 2.0 web accessibility guidelines. Experience with principles of design and usability. Based on skills and interest, opportunities may exist for design and development projects.
