The University of Virginia's School of Engineering and Applied Science seeks a full-time Grants and Contracts Administrator in the Center for Transportation Studies within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Primary responsibilities include performing tasks in Oracle including account reconciliation, P-Card oversight, cost transfers, purchasing and reimbursements for research center faculty, staff and students. Designing and utilizing complex spreadsheets for the purpose of budgeting, tracking and projecting large, multi-project research grants. Calculating, budgeting, tracking and reporting cost share from multiple sources for large, multi-project research grants. Managing research grant expense entry, reporting and analysis via the research center's accounting system. Filling a leadership role in the transition from Discoverer reporting to UBI reporting including exploration, training, report development and implementation. Developing procedures and managing implementation of research center resource planning and mapping to incorporate faculty, staff and student research activities. Managing research center involvement in school-wide labor distribution pilot program and completing special projects and requests received from research center faculty and staff.
Qualified applicants will hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, and possess at least three years of experience in grants management. Experience with the use of QuickBooks, budget development, and developing cost projections is required. These duties require meticulous attention to detail. Preferred candidates will hold an advanced degree in Business.
