Position Information: The purpose of this position is to provide support for the nine labs that compose Child Studies at UCR (childstudies.ucr.edu) by facilitating recruitment of infant and child participants. The Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for finding and scheduling community activities (e.g., farmer's markets, holiday festivals, public children's activities) that will allow child studies volunteers to share recruitment materials with families. The Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for arranging with the labs to provide volunteers to staff these activities (undergraduate and graduate students) and manage materials (flyers, signs, craft supplies, etc.). The Recruitment Coordinator may occasionally be asked to attend events to manage volunteers. Other duties include managing the shared database of information about prospective participants and entering information about new participants. The position is part-time (16 hours/week) and lasts one year.
Minimum Requirements: - Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with office software applications needed to maintain records and share information with a large user base
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
