The University of South Carolina's College of Education seeks a full-time (12-month) non-tenure track Clinical Instructor to serve as the University Induction Coordinator for the Teacher Induction Model. The incumbent will provide leadership for the Teacher Induction Model program. The UofSC has a strong commitment to helping graduates hired to teach in SC schools to be as effective as possible. This position requires expertise in clinical experience supervision, mentoring of new teachers and administration/management. Expertise in P-12 and university-level teaching is also important for the person in this role.

Applicants must have: (1) a Master's Degree in an education field (2) at least three years of successful teaching experience in P-12 school(s); (3) experience supervising teacher candidates during their clinical field experiences or mentoring new teachers; (4 ability to interact with diverse audiences; (5) ability to incorporate innovative pedagogies and technologies into their work; and (6) demeanor that is professional in nature.
Preference will be given to applicants who: (1) possess expertise in both clinical experience supervision and background in administration/management (2) display evidence of the ability to provide leadership in the development of a new program (3) demonstrated record of successful teaching at the P-12 and university levels, including online teaching; and (4) display the potential to develop innovative practices among cohorts of graduate who do not all live locally.
